Whole Foods 5% Day Community Giving Program

Fleet Farming was incredibly honored to receive an extremely generous donation from the Whole Foods 5% Day Community Giving Program! On January 11th, 3 Whole Foods Orlando locations donated 5% of their revenue to Fleet Farming! This generous donation of $12,700 will go towards increasing farming in the Parramore / Holden Heights area to bring fresh local produce to the community!

Whole Foods, America’s Healthiest Grocery Store™, is committed to serving the planet and it’s communities through environmental stewardship, giving foundations, and natural organic produce. We at Fleet Farming are so thankful to receive this donation from a company who shares our devotion to sustainable agriculture!

It is with the help of sponsors and advocates like Whole Foods that we are able to continue bringing our mission on a hyper local scale to under-served communities like Parramore / Holden Heights, communities that do not have the ease of access to fresh produce or large scale grocery stores that wealthier Orlando neighborhoods do. A grant from the United States Department of Agriculture to the City of Orlando was fundamental in the creation of the Fleet Farming Parramore Branch and the creation of the Parramore Farmers Market where we are able to sell fresh hyper local produce to the Parramore community. We are so grateful to our sponsors who help bring the local food movement to communities that need it most.

Thank you to Whole Foods and thank you to all of those who shopped at Whole Foods on January 11th to support the growth of the local food movement!
